about

Recording began in summer 2009 in my parents' basement in Ardrossan, AB, and continued throughout 2009 and into January 2010 in a house I lived at in Edmonton. Production lasted from January to July 2010. Mastering took place with good friend Taylor Schaerer at his apartment in Edmonton over 3 sessions in September/ October of that year.
I was able to release this album on Boxing Day 2010 at the ARTery in Edmonton, in a multifaceted spectacle that I had been thinking of for several months, involving many of the talented people I've met over the years. My thanks go out to everyone who made this possible, including Eric Cheng, who provided the facilities for printing and assembling the physical copies.

Track Name: Brooklyn Girls
"One day our faces will be as cracked and uneven as the sidewalks we're walking on right now. And this neighborhood will be so safe and uninteresting we won't want to walk it anyhow."

So which bar's it gonna be tonight girls. Go on and order yourselves another one just the same. Here's another pack of cigarettes, they ought to get you through the better part of the week. Here's some more catcalls when you're walking home on those dark, dark dangerous streets. You've learned not to listen to them now haven't you?

So you're walking through clouds of smoke from your own lit cigarettes. You're in the big time city now there's nothing left. Now that you know it all girls. You don't hear them catcalls after you when you're walking on those dark, dangerous streets at night. You never wanted to know it all did you?

You know these streets like every blemish that graces your beautiful faces don't you girls.
